Ohms Law – L1 Supplement

ASE says that many techs struggle passing the A6 and L1 tests because of a lack of basic electrical skills so they strongly urge techs to become better ‘grounded’ in electrical knowledge.  In this Ohm’s Law program automotive electronics instructor Dave Hobbs brings home the often overlooked fundamentals of series and parallel circuits and the relationship between amps, ohms, and volts.

This program explains what a circuit is and types of circuits, defines Ohm’s Law and applies it to graphic schematics.  Dave covers parallel and series-parallel circuits, what to expect from them and where you can expect to see them.  He explains testing with ohmmeters and ammeters, serial data busses and hands-on electronics.  Dave will also show you how all of this knowledge will help you pass the L1 exam.
